Just picked up a “chicken tractor,” aka a movable coop and run, courtesy of a chicken-lovin’ friend. Pictures forthcoming.
Now we just need a couple laying hens, and we will be ready to enjoy some “city fresh” eggs!

Yay! Chickens are awesome
We have chickens and have no problems with rats or mice at all. Our chickens are also not mean at all - they will peck your fingers, but only b/c they are used to being finger-fed.
Chickens can smell bad, but there are some quick and easy remedies for fixing the smell. But if you leave them in a muddy run with no scratch material and don’t let them range, they will smell bad! Or at least, their run will smell bad!
